As we rapidly grew and transitioned into a full-fledged insurance company, we faced new regulatory obligations, including the need to comply with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). In our earlier days as an agency, we used mostly manual controls to meet regulatory requirements. Our process typically involved pulling data once or twice a year, followed by sample testing—not comprehensive testing across the entire population. This reactive approach meant we were often addressing issues after they occurred, rather than proactively managing them in real time.
